Building on his decades of experience as an advocate, Paul Holtzman serves as a mediator in employment, labor, business and civil rights disputes for the American Arbitration Association and through a private mediation practice.
Paul has successfully resolved over two hundred fifty cases involving claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, employee misclassification, overtime disputes, non-payment of wages and commissions, failure to accommodate disabilities, non-competition agreements, contract and partnership disputes, as well as commercial cases ranging from construction contract disputes to claims of defective products.
As a member of the American Arbitration Association’s National Panel of Employment Arbitrators since 2017, Paul serves as an arbitrator on a wide variety of employment disputes. He has handled matters ranging from grievances to wage and hour class actions, claims of wrongful discharge, sexual harassment, retaliation, pregnancy discrimination, breach of contract, breach of non-competition agreements, and disability discrimination.
Paul is also a member of the American Arbitration Association's Roster of Labor Arbitrators. Through his private arbitration practice, he has arbitrated nearly one hundred (100) disputes regarding employee classification between a university and the union representing clerical and technical workers, as well as grievances regarding the interpretation of collective bargaining agreements. As an advocate, Paul represented both union and management in grievance arbitrations and other matters.
